Everything you might want to know about consultations, your Nutritional Analysis, diet plans and ongoing support.

What will I get to eat?

We take into account all the types of foods that you enjoy and the nutrients that your body needs to find the perfect combination of delicious and nutrient-rich meal plans — which wouldn't even make you feel like you are ‘on a diet.’ We focus on holistic wellness, where we do a detox, and then nourish with wholesome foods.

What will the diet consultation be like?

Your first diet consultation will be a detailed consultation with your nutritionist and Ayurveda Doctor, where they understand your health needs, your current diet, your lifestyle preferences and ailments, and then chalk out a nutrition plan of action. A Nutritional Analysis (to know the intake of nutrients from your current diet), Health Metrics, a 10-Day Diet Chart with guidelines and recipes, and a Recipe Book will be shared with you within 24–36 hours. Kwinaveda will also include a Prakriti Analysis and Ayurveda herbal remedies, and the nutrition plan crafted to suit your Prakriti or doshas.

What is Nutritional Analysis?

Each nutrient plays a vital role in our body, and women have varied vitamin and mineral needs through the different stages of life. The RDA (Recommended Dietary Allowances) for different life stages for women are set by the ICMR to assure normal functioning of the body.

Once you share your diet recall with your nutritionist, your details are assessed and your nutritional analysis is prepared — telling you your intake of four macro and six micro nutrients, and whether they meet the daily RDA or not. It also highlights important health parameters like waist-to-hip, waist-to-height and BMI to identify the ideal weight range and establish health goals for the plan.

Since our plans are highly customised, the six micronutrients assessed might vary slightly based on your health condition or life phase. For example, in the first trimester of pregnancy certain nutrients are very important (Vitamin B6), whereas in the second trimester (Omega 3) a few others play a bigger role.

What is a Prakriti Analysis?

Prakriti analysis is an Ayurvedic assessment that helps understand your body's natural constitution — your unique combination of Vata, Pitta and Kapha. Ayurveda recognises that every individual has a distinct physical, physiological and mental makeup, so the same diet or lifestyle approach may not work equally well for everyone. At Kwina, your Prakriti is determined by a consultation call with an Ayurveda doctor (with a prior questionnaire), and your nutrition plan is tailored to pacify and suit your inherent doshas.
