Pitta Prakriti

6 min read•By Kwina Experts
Pitta Prakriti

Pitta is the fire of transformation, born of Fire and Water. It governs digestion, metabolism and body temperature, and is associated with the sharpness of intellect, comprehension and understanding. When balanced, Pitta supports clarity, intelligence and purposeful action; when disturbed, it may show up as heat, irritability, anger, acidity and inflammatory tendencies.

THE ELEMENTS

Fire & Water

FIRE(Agni)
WATER(Aapa)

Hot, sharp, penetrating and luminous, fire is the principle of transformation — body temperature, digestion, absorption, metabolism, vision and understanding. Water is fluid, soft, viscous, cold and cohesive; it nourishes and sustains life.
